Training programs, professional certifications, and military occupations change over time. Content is updated, learning outcomes are revised, and industry standards evolve. ACE faculty evaluators review these experiences periodically—typically every three to five years—to ensure they continue to meet college-level standards.
The dates ensure that the credit recommendation matches the exact version of the training you completed. If you complete a course after the end date, you're likely completing a newer version that has undergone a separate faculty evaluation with potentially different credit recommendations.

What if my completion date is outside of the range? ACE credit recommendations will not appear on your transcript. Your training completion date must match the date range on the listing. Many courses and occupations have multiple "exhibits" reflecting different time periods.
